He obtained the diploma of engineer electrician in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków in 1975, and PhD – in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, IT and Electronics of AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków in 1998. Now - an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Power Engineering of his University.

He deals with modelling, state estimation and optimal control of power distribution networks using an artificial intelligence methods and electrical power management.
